We are forming a group of progressive democratics who like to get together in a variety of venues, including happy hours, dinners, sporting events, art happenings, live music, house parties, beach days, boat rides, fun day trips, etc. We prefer non-smoking events. We hope for lively conversations. Most events will be in the St. Pete area, but we are open to events in Tampa and other nearby towns.

This is a meetup for liberal thinkers that happen to like film and also like to cook, or have a partner that likes to cook, or can cut up a watermelon. The film selections will range from movies staring big name actors to esoteric art films, documentaries, and foreign films.  We tend to choose movies that have a broad base of good reviews and hopefully each film will stimulate our thinking and provoke conversation.
